I can't wait until our house is done. For lots of reasons but the main one is my precious Barley will finally have a yard to run and play in. I know he is going to love it. Trust me he will still find the most comfortable place in the house to sleep. I can't wait to make all his doggie dreams come true :)

Finally some progress!!
I told Michael at the beginning of last week that if they didn't make any progress on our house I was going to go and talk to them...I'm glad I didn't have to because I don't know exactly what I would have said :) Since work started back last week I'm in Odessa everyday and get to drive by and check in on things. They finally laid all the plumbing and sewer. It shouldn't be long before we have our frame tour.

Moving?
We got a phone call from our builder saying we needed to re-sign our contract because the City of Odessa had changed our address. Already? We haven't even moved in and didn't the city set these plots in the first place. Makes me a little nervous to move to a city that does not seem very competent. It didn't make a lot of sense to us but we knew we had to do it. Michael was not very excited about the change. Our old house number was 9118 and now it is 9120-being the numbers guy he is he liked the first one better than the second one and he was worried that our lot size had changed. Everything seems to be okay and at least we hadn't given our address to anyone yet. The progress is still really slow. We were warned that this first part would be the slowest part but it is driving me crazy. I am ready for it to be done-at least get the frame up for me so it looks like a house :)

Dublin, Ireland?
When we picked the lot for our new house we had lots of options to chose from since it is a new area that we are building in. What street did my husband pick...Dublin Ave. of course!! Michael is very proud of his Irish heritage and can be found drinking green beer on his favorite holiday!! Someday we hope to take a trip to Ireland but for now we will just settle living "in" Dublin!!
They finally started making some progress this week on our house. They were waiting for permits from the city. They started digging the holes for all the plumbing and stuff. They said this parts takes the longest because they are at the mercy of the city and can't move forward until everything passes inspection. We are getting so excited about it though.
